This sketch holds a lot of emotion. It’s a woman that is, as the title says, Battle Born. She’s always had to fight for herself, and for those she cares about. She’s grown up in violence and abuse, and those trials have followed her in to adulthood. She will handle everything life has to throw at her, but she’s tired.
About Lisa White
Hello! I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Lisa (Li) White. I’m a 49 year old mother of 3 grown children. I’ve discovered how art can be used to heal, express feelings, invoke emotions, and change your perspective on the life going on around you. I have always dreamed of being able to try painting some day. I enjoyed sketching in my teen years, but life gets busy, and until a couple of months ago it stayed on my “some day” list. I’ve been on a road of healing and self-discovery like none I’ve ever experienced before. Like so many others, 2020 changed my life completely.
